Department Name and Code

The department name and code will be displayed on timecards and reports to identify what department the hours are worked in. Use a thoughtful naming convention when assigning these to your departments to help you and your team stay organised and simplify payroll. For example, you may choose to encode the location, function, shift, and/or status in your department names and/or codes.

Notes:

• The department name has a 40-character limit.
• The department code has a 20-character limit.
• The department number is generated and assigned by the system and is not editable.

Department Code

To edit a department code:

1. Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
2. Click on the Departments tab.
3. Click on the name of the intended department or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for a department.
4. Click the EDIT button on the line for the CODE option.
5. Enter the intended department code and click the SAVE button.

Department Name

To edit a department name:
