Weekly Overtime Follow
Weekly Overtime allows you to track and calculate extra hours worked by employees over the course of a week. Overtime is applied once an employee exceeds a user-defined weekly threshold, such as 40 hours,
Weekly Overtime is configured at the department level, but it always applies from the employee’s home department.
Weekly Overtime will always take priority over any Daily Overtime rules configured.
How Weekly Overtime works
- Weekly Overtime begins once an employee exceeds the weekly hours threshold you define.
- You can set OT1 and OT2 pay codes with optional multipliers to adjust the employee’s hourly rate for overtime.
- For semi-monthly or monthly pay periods, overtime may carry over into the next pay period if a full week has not been completed.

How to configure Weekly Overtime
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor profile.
- Click the Departments tab.
- Select the department you want to configure, or use the search icon to find it.
- Click the Overtime tab.
- Click EDIT next to the Weekly Rule option.
- Select the weekly overtime threshold (e.g., after 40 hours) from the drop-down menu.
- Click SAVE.
- Click EDIT next to the Weekly Overtime 1 line.
- Set the After and Up To times to define when overtime should be applied.
- (Optional) Set an Overtime Multiplier to increase the employee’s hourly rate for overtime (for example, 1.5 for time and a half).
- Click SAVE
